Events

  • Future 2024-2025 events to include a range of chamber music projects including Milsom School of Music tutees at a range of venues in Sheffield, including St Marie’s Cathedral, Sheffield, working in partnership with David Milsom and some of his close professional colleagues. Expressing this, David formed a new ensemble - The West Riding Ensemble - to solidify this new initiative and his desire to work increasingly with the interface between professional performing, and mentoring and encouraging the next generation, or ‘proto-colleagues’.

A major project in the early planning stages is an orchestral performance day (?June, 2025) conducted by David Milsom, including Mendelssohn E Minor Violin Concerto (soloist: Maria Nikolaeva) - watch David’s Facebook pages and other social media for fund-raising projects to enable this!

David is also planning to perform Franck Piano Quintet in 2024 (his 50th birthday year) with James Woodrow, Ben Kearsley, Thomas Collingwood, and Jonathan Fisher, after a planned May 2024 performance at the University of Huddersfield fell through.
